Module 8 of 14
Improve the Look of Your Task List
What you'll learn
- How to improve a page's appearance safely.
Step-by-step instructions
- Type this message and press Return:
Please improve the appearance of my task-list page without changing any features. Use a calm, simple design with plenty of space, easy-to-read text, a clear Add Task button, and a neat task list. Keep it comfortable to use on both a computer and a phone. Tell me exactly what to look for when I refresh the page.
- Refresh the page and look at the heading, task box, buttons, and task list.
- Add a task, mark it finished, remove it, and refresh the page.
How to check it worked: The page is clear and easy to read, and every earlier feature still works.
If something doesn't work
The page looks better, but I can no longer add a task. Please fix just that one problem without changing the design.
What just happened?
Codex changed the visual instructions for the page: spacing, colours, text size, and layout. These changes affect how the page looks rather than what your task list does.
You checked the features again because appearance changes can accidentally affect a working control. Checking after every meaningful change is what keeps the app reliable.
Module checklist
- The page is easy to read.
- Controls are easy to find.
- Adding, finishing, removing, and refreshing still work.
Next module: You will test the app like a real user.
