Prepare Your App for Sharing
Why this matters
Before you share an app, people need to be able to recognise what it is and decide whether they can open it. A page title is the name shown in a browser tab. A description is a short sentence that explains what the app does.

Step-by-step instructions
- Type this message and press Return:
Please prepare my task-list website for sharing. Make sure its page title is “My Tasks” and its short description is “A simple personal task list.” Do not publish it yet. Tell me when this is ready.
- Then ask:
Please tell me which publishing or sharing options are available in my current Codex setup. Explain each option in plain English, including whether it is private or public. Do not publish anything yet.
- Read the options Codex shows you. Choose one option that you understand and are comfortable using.
How to check it worked: You know the exact name of the sharing option you want before publishing begins.
If something doesn't work
Please stop before publishing. I want to understand the sharing options available in my setup first.
What just happened?
Codex prepared information that helps identify your app when it is opened or shared. It also inspected what sharing choices are available to you, rather than assuming every learner has the same choices.
This is an important creator habit: decide who should be able to see something before you publish it.
